Moduli spaces of weighted pointed stable curves
It has long been understood that a moduli space may admit a plethora of different compactifications, each corresponding to a choice of combinatorial data. Two outstanding examples are the toroidal compactifications of quotients of bounded symmetric domains [AMRT] and the theory of variation of geometric invariant theory (GIT) quotients [BP] [DH] [Th]. However, in both of these situations a modu...
متن کاملStable topology of moduli spaces of holomorphic curves in CP
This paper is centered around a homotopy theoretic approximation to Mg(CP), the moduli space of degree d holomorphic maps from genus g Riemann surfaces into CP. There results a calculation of the integral cohomology ring H(Mg(CP)) for ∗ << g << d. The arguments follow those from a paper of G. Segal ([Seg79]) on the topology of the space of rational functions.
متن کاملQuantum Cohomology of Moduli Spaces of Genus Zero Stable Curves
We investigate the (small) quantum cohomology ring of the moduli spaces M0,n of stable n-pointed curves of genus 0. In particular, we determine an explicit presentation in the case n = 5 and we outline a computational approach to the case n = 6.
متن کاملAlgebraic and tropical curves: comparing their moduli spaces
We construct the moduli space for equivalence classes of n-pointed tropical curves of genus g, together with its bordification given by weighted tropical curves, and its compactification by extended (weighted) tropical curves. We compare it to the moduli spaces of smooth and stable, n-pointed algebraic curves, from the combinatorial, the topological, and the Teichmüller point of view.
متن کاملMinimal Rational Curves in Moduli Spaces of Stable Bundles
Let C be a smooth projective curve of genus g ≥ 2 and L be a line bundle on C of degree d. Assume that r ≥ 2 is an integer coprime with d. Let M := UC(r,L) be the moduli space of stable vector bundles on C of rank r and with the fixed determinant L. It is well-known that M is a smooth projective Fano variety with Picard number 1. For any projective curve in M , we can define its degree with res...
